Selena Gomez is a multitalented woman. She is the head of one of the most well-known celebrity cosmetic businesses available today, has a distinguished singing career, and is an actor nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Only Murders in the Building. To her extensive list of nicknames, she has most recently added another one: genuine manicure muse.
Selena Gomez
With her favourite manicurist, Tom Bachick, at her side, Selena Gomez consistently delivers nail art that is lively, vibrant, and incredibly wearable. She’s experimented with nail art ranging from “bubblegum disco” to rainbow pastels, and her most recent manicure is as deserving of a spot on your spring mood board.

The manicure
Bachick posted a close-up of the most recent manicure he did for the celebrity on April 5. Her nails weren’t particularly long, but they were longer than normal. This time, instead of choosing the typical square or squoval shape, she chose a real sharp square.
Of course, the colour was the most intriguing aspect of this manicure. Bachick chose a vivid orange hue that makes us long for the arrival of warm weather. With a creamy gloss reminiscent of orange sherbet, the shade falls somewhere between pastel and neon. Although heavy red and grey colours dominated this winter, a vibrant tint like Gomez’s is the ideal way to welcome spring.

How to Look the Part
Although Bachick didn’t disclose the precise polish he used for this manicure, it’s not too difficult to recreate the look at home.
Prepare your nails first. Create the desired shape by cleaning, cutting, and filing. Use square-tipped, medium-length press-ons to achieve Gomez’s precise look.
After applying a base coat—Sally Hansen’s Colour Therapy, $7—let it dry.
Select the shade of orange that you want. Try Essie’s To DIY For ($10) if you want something similar to Gomez’s. If you’re more fair-skinned, consider a pastel version of the trend with a shade like their Frilly Lillies ($10). After two coats, let them dry.
Apply a glossy top coat to complete the appearance, then allow it to dry.
